Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Kamu Grugier-Hill said on Friday that he apologized to his team and head coach for calling the Dallas Cowboys chokers.

"Didn't mean to disrespect this organization or coach (Doug) Pederson," Grugier-Hill told reporters, courtesy of ESPN's Tim McManus. "I just got a lot of confidence in our guys, confidence in myself going into this game, and ready to play."

The Eagles and Cowboys are preparing to meet on Sunday, and the winner will gain an inside track to the NFC East title.

Grugier-Hill provided Dallas with bulletin-board material on Tuesday, saying the Cowboys "always choke" in big games, and that the Eagles will "make them choke" again in Week 14.

"I just apologized because obviously I put him in a hard spot," Gruger-Hill said after a chat with Pederson.

The 24-year-old has recorded 29 tackles and an interception in 12 games this year, making seven starts.
