One-time PC MPP for Hamilton Mountain John Smith, who helped Vietnamese boat people, has died

Flags at Hamilton's city hall are flying at half-staff to mark the passing of former city alderman and MPP John Smith, who died Dec. 6 at Hamilton General Hospital at the age of 82.
