Rams expect Gurley to play vs. Cardinals despite missing practice
Los Angeles Rams running back Todd Gurley is still struggling with a knee injury and missed Wednesday's practice, according to Dan Graziano of ESPN.
However, head coach Sean McVay said the "expectation" is that Gurley will be able to suit up against the Arizona Cardinals and entered the team facility feeling much better, per Rich Hammond of the Orange County Register.
The fourth-year rusher underwent an MRI on his knee following the Rams' Week 15 game against the Philadelphia Eagles, but the evaluation revealed no structural damage.
McVay also said that the recently signed C.J. Anderson might "play a role as early as this week," according to NFL Network's Andrew Siciliano. Anderson joins Justin Davis and John Kelly on the Rams' depth chart below Gurley.
The Rams have fallen to 11-3 on the season after losing their past two games.
