Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Nick Foles is on track on to play in the wild-card round against the Chicago Bears after tests Monday revealed he didn't suffer any broken ribs during Sunday's contest against the Washington Redskins, sources told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo.

Foles reportedly just sustained bruises after exiting the Eagles' regular-season finale.

The backup quarterback is set to once again lead Philadelphia during the playoffs as Carson Wentz is reportedly likely to miss his second straight postseason, this time due to a back injury.

The Eagles sneaked their way into the playoffs in the last week of the regular season after Foles - February's Super Bowl MVP - led them to three straight wins to end the year.
