Wyoming state health officials are reporting a rare antibiotic-resistant infection in a patient being treated at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center (CRMC). Testing on the patient from Laramie County reveals the bacterium causing the infection, an enterobacteriaceae, also included a rare antibiotic-resistant gene known as MCR-1.
