New Arizona Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury sees a number of positive qualities in quarterback Josh Rosen.

In an appearance on "Good Morning Football" on Thursday, Kingsbury outlined why Rosen made the Cardinals' vacancy appealing.

"I think (Rosen's) an extremely talented thrower of the football," Kingsbury said. "You watch him cut it loose, he can throw with anybody. (He's a) very cerebral young man, and competitive - ultracompetitive."

Arizona struggled mightily during the 2018 season, finishing with a 3-13 record in Rosen's rookie campaign. The team's new head coach believes Rosen's resiliency is promising.

"I think this year, it was rough at times towards the end," he said. "He took a bunch of hits and big shots, and kept getting up, which is something that's exciting to see as a coach - that he'll continue to fight and continue to play hard for his teammates."

The Cardinals hired Kingsbury on Tuesday after he briefly joined USC as offensive coordinator. Texas Tech fired him in November following six seasons as head coach.
