Former Stanford running back Bryce Love told Yahoo Sports' Pete Thamel that he tore his right ACL during the team's final regular-season game.

Love will attend the NFL combine but will be limited in his participation. There is no timetable for his return. He is, however, expected to make a full recovery.

The former All-American underwent surgery on Dec. 18 and is hoping to be cleared for the 2019 NFL season.

"I'm very grateful to Dr. Andrews and his team for making the surgery a seamless process," Love said in a statement to Yahoo Sports. "Obviously, there's no such thing as an ideal injury, but I'm on the path to recovery, and my goal remains the same - getting drafted by an NFL team and being the ultimate professional. I'll be back better than I've ever been."

Love suffered the injury during the fourth quarter against California on Dec. 1. He didn't participate in Stanford's Sun Bowl victory over Pittsburgh in order to focus on his health ahead of the 2019 NFL Draft.

The star ball-carrier ranks fourth on the Cardinal's all-time rushing yards list. Love's junior season was one to remember, as he totaled 2,151 scrimmage yards and 19 touchdowns.
