New York Giants quarterback Kyle Lauletta pleaded guilty Tuesday to a disorderly persons offense and two traffic tickets as part of a conditional dismissal of the charges stemming from his October arrest in New Jersey, sources told Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News.

The 23-year-old Lauletta was arrested on the morning of Oct. 30, with police initially saying the quarterback came close to striking an officer with his vehicle.

That allegation was reportedly not pursued by the prosecution on Tuesday, and it was not included in Lauletta's admission. The lone criminal charge of eluding police was dropped, according to sources, and the others will be dropped despite the guilty pleas if Lauletta stays out of trouble for 12 months.

The rookie had yet to appear in a game at the time of the incident after being selected with the 108th pick of the 2018 draft. Giants head coach Pat Shurmur called the initial reports "very disappointing."

Lauletta eventually made his regular-season debut against the Washington Redskins in Week 14 as a substitute for Eli Manning, but failed to complete any of his five passing attempts while also throwing an interception.
