The Indianapolis Colts would like to re-sign kicker Adam Vinatieri, a source told Mike Chappell of CBS4 Sports.

Vinatieri, who turns 46 years old Dec. 28 and would enter a 24th NFL season in 2019, said he'd be open to a potential return to the Colts, according to Joel A. Erickson of the Indianapolis Star.

"If they're wanting, I can't imagine (I'd) not keep playing, you know?" Vinatieri said. "I haven't made the decision yet. I'll spend a week or two and just kind of see where we're at."

The 23-year veteran is a four-time Super Bowl champion, three-time Pro Bowler, and three-time All-Pro. He's split his career between the Colts and New England Patriots.

Vinatieri completed 23 of 27 field-goal attempts and 93.6 percent of extra-point attempts over the regular season, but he uncharacteristically missed one of each kick in the Colts' 31-13 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in the divisional round. His longest successful kick of the regular season was 54 yards.

He carried a cap hit of $3.6 million on a one-year deal in 2018, according to Over the Cap. He's made more than $47 million over his career.
