Marshawn Lynch had some choice words for Donald Trump when asked to respond to the President calling him "unpatriotic" during an appearance on HBO's "Real Time with Bill Maher."

"I mean, you know, that motherf---er say a lot of s---," Lynch told Maher. "At the end of the day, you called me unpatriotic, but I mean, you come to my neighborhood where I'm from, you know, you'll see me take the shirt off my back and give it to someone in less need. I mean, what would you call that?"

In a November 2017 tweet, Trump criticized Lynch for sitting during the national anthem and called on the NFL to suspend the Oakland Raiders running back for the remainder of the season.

Lynch also spoke about how he's helping to combat the issue of gentrification in Oakland, Calif.

"With bangin' my head against people, I had the opportunity to make a couple dollars," he said. "So, therefore, I started to go and buy up some real estate in the area where I grew up at in order to give people opportunities for housing."
