Jon Gruden is getting a closer look at the incoming draft class while he serves as one of the coaches at this week's Senior Bowl.

During his media availability Tuesday, the Oakland Raiders head coach heaped praise on the eligible draftees, including 5-foot-9 quarterback Kyler Murray.

The reigning Heisman Trophy winner has changed Gruden's mind on what the prototypical quarterback should look like.

"I used to think that a lot until I saw Drew Brees twice a year in Tampa, then I met Russell Wilson coming out of N.C. State, and now I'm watching this kid Murray at Oklahoma and I'm putting away all the prototypes that I once had," Gruden said.

"I used to have a prototype for hand size, height, arm length, all that stuff. We're looking for guys who can play and do a lot of different things and they come in all shapes and sizes nowadays."

The Raiders own three first-round draft picks in April's draft: the No. 4, 24, and 28 overall selections. Derek Carr is signed through the 2022 season but a potential out exists in his contract ahead of the 2019 campaign.
