Signpost: How to safely handle frozen pipes, SportHamilton board, local lottery winner

The Hamilton Fire Department is cautioning residents not to use an open flame or any kind of electrical equipment to thaw pipes that have frozen in these frigid temperatures. If you attempt to thaw pipes yourself use hot water bottles or hot towels. To prevent pipes freezing, open faucet to a small trickle or wrap pipes in insulation.
