Gurley insists he's not injured: 'Really, I'm fine'
Whatever is ailing Los Angeles Rams running back Todd Gurley, it's not anything physical.
The All-Pro had another quiet game in Super Bowl LIII, rushing 10 times for 35 yards in a 13-3 loss to the New England Patriots. It was his second consecutive poor outing after he touched the ball just five times and gained 13 yards during the NFC Championship Game.
The uncharacteristic performances have many questioning whether Gurley is hiding an injury.
"I did an MRI after the Philly game (in Week 15). But really, I'm fine," Gurley said, according to Lindsey Thiry of ESPN. "We let each other down," he added.
Gurley sat out the Rams' last two regular-season games due to a knee injury that was diagnosed as an inflammation.
"I kind of had a break low key for the last two months. So, it's cool. We'll do the physicals and all that stuff tomorrow," he said, according to NFL.com's Tom Pelissero.
When asked if he'll need surgery, he replied, "No, sir."
