Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown's involvement in a domestic dispute was investigated in mid-January, but he wasn't arrested, Florida police confirmed to TMZ Sports.

According to TMZ's sources, a woman told the Hollywood Police Department in January that Brown committed some form of misconduct, though details of her report are unclear.

"The allegations are baseless and false," said Brown's lawyer, Darren Heitner, in a statement obtained by ESPN's Jeremy Fowler. "It's unfortunate that the media is trying to use distractions like this and prior stories in an effort to tarnish my client's name and reputation. We have no further comment."

This news comes as the Steelers ponder the idea of trading Brown after tensions grew during Week 17 of the regular season, resulting in the wide receiver being benched for the team's final game.

Brown, 30, had 1,297 yards and 15 touchdowns in 15 games this season. The seven-time Pro Bowler has spent his entire career in Pittsburgh.
