Carolina Panthers tight end Greg Olsen intends to return in 2019 despite having his last two seasons derailed by foot injuries.

"My plan right now, I'm in every day doing my foot rehab, trying to get this thing finally back to where I was used to," the veteran told Sky Sports. "It seems like it's been a long time since it was. That's what I'm preparing for and that all starts with getting my foot right."

Olsen broke his foot in September 2017 and re-injured it after returning from injured reserve later in the season. He refractured the same foot in September 2018 and later ruptured his plantar fascia in December after, again, coming off injured reserve.

The 33-year-old entertained retirement and auditioned for a broadcasting job on Monday Night Football before the 2018 season, but ultimately opted to continue his playing career.

Olsen has posted just 482 yards and five touchdowns over his last 16 games, though he had three straight 1,000-yard campaigns from 2014-16.
