Chicago Bears wide receiver Allen Robinson doesn't seem opposed to the idea of free-agent running back Kareem Hunt joining the team.

Robinson said on Feb. 1 that he believes the Bears would welcome Hunt, who seemed to be a "good dude" from their few meetings, according to the Chicago Sun-Times' Patrick Finley.

"From when I met (him) and everything like that, for us to bring him into our locker room, I think guys would welcome him with open arms," Robinson said. "He'd be one of us ...

"A guy they'd bring into our locker room would be our brother."

The Bears receiver said he wasn't especially familiar with the events surrounding Hunt's release, who was cut by the Kansas City Chiefs after a video surfaced of him assaulting a woman in a Cleveland hotel.

Hunt is currently listed on the commissioner's exempt list and is unable to sign with a team until he is reinstated.

Bears head coach, and former Chiefs offensive coordinator, Matt Nagy caused a buzz in January when he spoke with Hunt over the phone, but he said the call was strictly personal.
