James Harrison was never afraid to speak his mind during his playing days, and the former NFL pass-rusher is hoping to use that skill to land a post-football career.

The ex-Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker is set to make his on-screen debut Thursday on the CBS crime drama "S.W.A.T," but he ultimately has his sights set on Hollywood - and he isn't short on confidence.

"I'd like to say that I have the action capacity of The Rock," Harrison told Yahoo Sports' Jason Owens. "And I've got the range of Denzel (Washington)."

Harrison will star alongside fellow former NFLers Eric Dickerson and Willie McGinest as members of the Los Angeles Fire Department

The 2008 Defensive Player of the Year said he enjoyed his NFL career, but he doesn't miss football.

Harrison is, however, using his experiences in football to aid his new pursuit.

"It's repetitive," Harrison said of shooting a scene. "The whole day was 14 to 16 hours. It's just shoot after shoot after shoot.

"You might have to say the same lines 20 or 30 times. It's like practice."
