Valens Lake Conservation Area's annual catch-and-release ice fishing derby returns Feb. 16 from sunrise to 1 p.m. For Canadian residents, a fishing licence is not required because the derby takes place on Ontario's licence-free fishing weekend. Entry is $25 for adults and $15 for kids 12 and under. Valens Lake is at 1691 Regional Rd. 97 in Cambridge.
