Steelers GM won't rule out trading Brown to AFC North team
Pittsburgh Steelers general manager Kevin Colbert refused to dismiss the possibility of trading disgruntled wide receiver Antonio Brown to rival clubs within the AFC North.
"Ideally you'll like to trade him to someone you'd never play," Colbert told reporters Wednesday at the NFL combine, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. "But if a team comes through with the best compensation you have to weigh that."
Colbert said the list of three teams that first expressed interested "has grown," according to NFL Network's Marc Sessler.
The long-time executive added, however, that Pittsburgh is open to bringing Brown back if it doesn't receive ideal value in return. Colbert already indicated last week that the star wideout won't be traded at discount price.
Brown is due a $2.5-million roster bonus on March 17, so the Steelers are running out of time to find a suitable trade offer.
