An autographed Tom Brady rookie card has shattered the record for the highest price paid for a trading card on eBay.

The mint 2000 Playoff Contenders Championship Rookie Ticket card was sold by PWCC Marketplace for just over $400,000 on Monday night, breaking the previous record set last week by a Michael Jordan card.

Four days after setting the modern card record on eBay by selling a 1997 Michael Jordan card for $350,100, @PWCCmarketplace just sold this Tom Brady rookie card on eBay for a new record $400,100. pic.twitter.com/XQVKit2Mvx

The card is believed to have been owned by former NFL guard Evan Mathis, according to Rich Mueller of Sports Collectors Daily. Mathis previously sold a 1952 Mickey Mantle card at auction for a near-record $2.88 million.

In 2018, another mint Brady Championship Rookie Ticket fetched $250,000 on eBay. It was the highest price ever paid for a Brady collectible at the time.
