Impending free-agent quarterback Nick Foles is expected to sign with the Jacksonville Jaguars once free agency opens on March 13, sources told Philly.com's Les Bowen.

The Jaguars appear to be the sole team expressing interest in the free agent and are working on the details of a contract that could come in below market value for starting quarterbacks, Bowen added.

The Philadelphia Eagles announced last week they would not use the franchise tag on the former Super Bowl MVP.

The Jaguars are expected to release incumbent starter Blake Bortles once they sign Foles, according to ESPN's Dan Graziano.

Jacksonville went 5-11 last season after competing in the AFC title game the year prior.

Foles threw for 1,413 yards, seven touchdowns, and four interceptions in five starts during the 2018 campaign. He holds a 4-1 record in the postseason as a starter with the Eagles and led the team to a 6-2 record in relief of Carson Wentz over the past two seasons.

The Jaguars hired John DeFilippo to be their offensive coordinator in January. He previously served as Foles' quarterbacks coach during Philadelphia's Super Bowl winning season.
