Chiefs sign Hyde to reported 1-year, $2.8M deal
The Kansas City Chiefs announced the signing of free-agent running back Carlos Hyde on Saturday.
Hyde and the Chiefs agreed to a one-year deal worth $2.8 million, including $1.6 million guaranteed, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
The 28-year-old rusher will join a backfield in Kansas City headed by Damien Williams. Hyde was released Friday by the Jacksonville Jaguars, with whom he finished last year following a midseason trade from the Cleveland Browns.
In 14 games split between the Browns and Jaguars in 2018, Hyde rushed for 571 yards and five touchdowns.
He entered the league in 2014 with the San Francisco 49ers, where he spent the first four years of his career.
