Report: Steelers interested in Tyrell Williams to fill Brown void
The Pittsburgh Steelers are looking for a receiver after trading Antonio Brown, and former Los Angeles Chargers wideout Tyrell Williams is one of several they're interested in signing, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.
Fowler added that Pittsburgh might not be able to afford the sought-after Williams. The team would then target another mid-tier option to pair with JuJu Smith-Schuster.
Williams caught 41 passes for 653 yards and five touchdowns last season. Alongside Golden Tate, the veteran is widely considered one of the two top wideouts on the market.
James Washington, the Steelers' second-year receiver, will likely play a larger role in 2019. However, the team is probably interested in adding another outside option and keeping Smith-Schuster in the slot.
