Rodgers-Cromartie comes out of retirement, signs with Redskins

Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie has officially come out of retirement, as the Washington Redskins announced Friday they have signed the veteran cornerback.

Rodgers-Cromartie retired this past October while with the Oakland Raiders. He played in seven games before stepping away from the league.

The Arizona Cardinals selected the athletic cornerback 16th overall in the 2008 NFL Draft. He also played for the Philadelphia Eagles, Denver Broncos, and New York Giants before joining the Raiders.

The 32-year-old will likely compete with Fabian Moreau, Greg Stroman, Danny Johnson, and 2018 supplemental draft pick Adonis Alexander for snaps in Washington's secondary behind starters Josh Norman and Quinton Dunbar.
