Eminem thinks he may have found the key to future success for the Alliance of American Football.

The rapper - real name Marshall Mathers III - tweeted at the AAF on Monday asking the league to consider allowing its players to fight.

DEAR @THEAAF,
PLEASE ENTERTAIN THIS THOUGHT REGARDING THE @AAFIRON @AAFEXPRESS GAME: ALLOWING THE PLAYERS TO ACTUALLY FIGHT WOULD BE KEY TO LEAGUE'S SUCCESS LIKE HOCKEY, I WOULD WATCH EVERY GAME (EVEN THOUGH THERE IS NO DETROIT TEAM YET - HINT). DON'T BLOW IT.
SINCERELY,
MARSHALL

Former NFL and CFL quarterback Johnny Manziel, who recently signed with the AAF's Memphis Express, responded to Mathers' tweet soon after.

I got you https://t.co/oNXEErCxHD

AAF co-founder and CEO Charlie Ebersol also responded - not to Mathers' fighting request, but to his desire for a Detroit team.

Detroit is not a bad idea for a future franchise. Let me know if you want in on it.

Manziel made his AAF debut Sunday night in the Express' 31-25 overtime victory over the Birmingham Iron. At one point during the game, a mic'd-up Manziel could be heard swearing and talking trash to an Iron player.
