Jordy Nelson retires from NFL
Wide receiver Jordy Nelson is retiring from the National Football League, according to NFL Network analyst and former teammate James Jones.
The Green Bay Packers confirmed the news and congratulated their former pass-catcher.

Nelson spent 10 seasons with the Packers and one with the Oakland Raiders. The Raiders released him on March 14.
Green Bay selected the wideout in the second round (36th overall) of the 2008 NFL Draft out of Kansas State. Nelson then formed one of the league's top quarterback-wide receiver duos with pivot Aaron Rodgers for the next decade.
Nelson ranks third in Packers history with 550 receptions, fifth with 7,848 receiving yards, and second with 69 touchdowns. He made the Pro Bowl in 2014 and helped his team capture Super Bowl XLV.
Following an ACL tear in 2015, Nelson returned the next season and was named the NFL Comeback Player of the Year after accumulating 97 catches for 1,257 yards and a league-leading 14 touchdowns.
The 33-year-old recorded 739 yards and three touchdowns for the Raiders.
