Russell Wilson reportedly set a hard deadline of April 15 to come to terms on a contract extension with the Seattle Seahawks, but the quarterback apparently won't play his biggest card to get it.

Wilson doesn't intend to hold out and will be with the team "every day for every workout, meeting, and practice," a source told Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio.

The deadline, which Florio adds was given to the Seahawks in January, is to ensure there are no distractions for the upcoming season. If a deal cannot be reached, Wilson will shut down talks until after the campaign.

The Super Bowl winner is widely expected to receive a deal that exceeds Aaron Rodgers' contract, the NFL's highest-paid player at $33.5 million a year.

Wilson is entering the final season of a four-year, $87.6-million deal.
