Report: Kyler Murray headed for visit with Cardinals

With just over two weeks until the 2019 NFL Draft, the Arizona Cardinals are apparently still doing their homework for the No. 1 overall pick.

Kyler Murray is traveling to the desert to meet with the Cardinals, a source told Mike Garafolo of NFL Network. His meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

The Oklahoma quarterback will reportedly be accompanied by his agent, who also represents Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury.

While Arizona has attempted to keep the league guessing about what it intends to do at the top of the draft, the team is widely expected to select Murray.

Kingsbury's a noted fan of the Heisman winner, and the connection has led to speculation that the Cardinals will trade Josh Rosen to open the door for Murray. It was reported Friday, however, that Arizona has yet to engage in trade talks concerning the 2018 first-round pick.

Last week, the Cardinals hosted other two other potential top picks - Ohio State defensive end Nick Bosa and Alabama defensive tackle Quinnen Williams.
