It appears Seattle Seahawks fans can breathe easy, at least for now.

Star quarterback Russell Wilson will attend the first day of Seattle's offseason program regardless if a long-term contract is in place, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports.

Wilson reportedly told the Seahawks that he wants a contract extension by April 15, but there have been no signs of progress between the two sides.

The news comes shortly after reports surfaced that the 30-year-old wants to play for another team, and his unspoken desire to move on has led him to take a harder stance during contract negotiations.

Wilson said recently that his next contract could make him the NFL's highest-paid player.

The quarterback has spent his entire career in Seattle, earning six Pro Bowl selections and leading the club to a championship in Super Bowl XLVIII.
