Saints' Bridgewater handed out cash after running out of toys at toy drive
New Orleans Saints quarterback Teddy Bridgewater grew up in the Miami neighborhood of Liberty City and has made a point to give back to the community since making it to the NFL.
Bridgewater recently tweeted a series of photos from a toy drive he hosted last summer for kids in his old neighborhood.
See the thing is, when you're genuine and your heart is pure, the attention means nothing. This was last July. My new name in the hood is 'MR.UHAUL' because I will pull up and shut 15th Ave down whenever I feel like it.

Bridgewater eventually ran out of toys to give away, but instead of sending the children home empty-handed, he gave each of them $20.

"When you grow up in these communities like I did, you see things that you want to change," Bridgewater told Larry Blustein of CBS Miami in 2017. "Now I have the chance to do something - and that is important to me."
