Report: Benjamin Watson contemplating return for 16th season
by Mike Alessandrini from on (#4DJTH)
After intending to retire following the 2018 season, veteran tight end Benjamin Watson is considering a return for a 16th campaign, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Saturday.
The 38-year-old has yet to make a decision, but he might be open to returning under the right circumstances, Schefter adds.
Watson spent the 2018 season with the New Orleans Saints, catching 35 passes for 400 yards and two touchdowns.
The Super Bowl XXXIX champion was the New England Patriots' first-round pick in 2004. He's recorded 47 career touchdowns across 195 regular-season games and 12 playoff contests.
