4 trades we'd love to see over NFL draft week

It isn't just the picks that get teams, players, and fans excited around the NFL draft, it's the unforeseen trades that transpire, too.

Here are a handful of swaps we'd love to see go down over the next several days in Nashville:

Redskins land Rosen from Cardinals

Arizona isn't keeping Josh Rosen if it uses the first overall pick on another quarterback in Kyler Murray. On the surface, Murray seems like more of a fantasy than a realistic option for the Cardinals: they traded up last year to take Rosen 10th overall and hired a new head coach to develop him, specifically.

But that coach, Kliff Kingsbury, was known to be extremely high on Murray before he took the Cardinals job. If the Cards are no longer 100 percent sold on Rosen - who struggled during his rookie year - as a franchise quarterback, now would be the time to admit they made a mistake and recoup as much value as possible.

Even if they've soured on Rosen, there are still teams who'd pounce on an opportunity to pick up the talented youngster and his team-friendly contract. The Washington Redskins, for instance, can't afford another high-priced quarterback while they pay Alex Smith, whose leg injury last year could prove to be career-ending. The Redskins acquired Case Keenum, but he's a stopgap at best. For the 46th pick, the Skins would be silly not to roll the dice on Rosen.

Broncos move up to grab QB

Full trade: Jets trade No. 3 pick to Broncos for No. 10 pick, 2020 1st-round pick

The threat of the Cardinals, Oakland Raiders, and New York Giants all dipping into the quarterback market early on draft night should motivate Denver to move up from No. 10.

The Jets have publicly stated they're interested in moving down from No. 3, making them a natural trade partner. If the Broncos don't move up, another team probably will, and it'll probably be for a quarterback.

Recent history suggests the approximate price for moving up in the top 10 is two first-round picks. Whichever signal-caller the Broncos were to take at No. 3 could sit behind Joe Flacco until he's deemed ready to take over.

Full trade: Bills trade No. 9 pick to Steelers for No. 20 pick, 2nd-round pick, 2020 4th-round pick

The Steelers rarely trade up in Round 1, but with the clock ticking on Ben Roethlisberger's career, now is the time to flip the script for an impact player.

Pittsburgh's defense hasn't been the same since losing Ryan Shazier. There are two linebackers in this draft, LSU's Devin White and Michigan's Devin Bush, capable of filling Shazier's void. Both are expected to be off the board before No. 20 comes around, so the Steelers need to be aggressive.

Bills general manager Brandon Beane said he sees no glaring holes on his roster, meaning a move down the board in favor of accumulating picks could be the play for Buffalo. Pittsburgh acquired the second pick of the third round (No. 66 overall) in the Antonio Brown trade, so dealing away its second-rounder (No. 52) for an elite defensive talent shouldn't be too tough a pill to swallow.

Vikings deal Rhodes to Browns

Full trade: Vikings trade CB Xavier Rhodes to Browns for WR Rashard Higgins, 4th-round pick

Minnesota boasts a surplus of corners and needs a third receiver, while Cleveland possesses an excess of wideouts and requires a starting corner - you see where this is going.

The Vikings have Xavier Rhodes coming off a down year, perhaps in part because of injuries. The 28-year-old is one season removed from a Pro Bowl selection. He's expensive, though, and the cap-strapped Vikings need room for other moves, not to mention Trae Waynes is slated for free agency next offseason.

Cleveland has Rashard Higgins, a nice secondary option who would fit in nicely behind Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs on the receiver depth chart in Minnesota. While Higgins is a nice piece, the Browns will likely lose him on the open market in 2020 if they don't move him earlier - they already have huge long-term contracts committed to Odell Beckham Jr. and Jarvis Landry.

Rhodes has the more impressive resume, so the Vikings should command a mid-round pick in addition to Higgins to consummate the deal.
