The Miami Dolphins are close to acquiring quarterback Josh Rosen from the Arizona Cardinals in exchange for the 48th overall pick in the NFL draft, multiple sources told Pro Football Talk.

The deal could reportedly include a late-round pick being sent from Arizona to Miami as well, according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo.

The Dolphins reportedly expressed interest in Rosen prior to the Cardinals selecting Kyler Murray first overall on Thursday night, but Miami also felt trading a first-round draft pick for the quarterback was too high of a price to pay.

Rosen's trade value apparently dropped when teams that were potentially looking for a quarterback, including the New York Giants and the Washington Redskins, selected QB prospects Daniel Jones and Dwayne Haskins, respectively, in Round 1 on Thursday.

The Dolphins are undergoing a rebuild and traded 2018 starter Ryan Tannehill to the Tennessee Titans earlier this offseason.
