Josh Norman took a shot at New York Giants general manager Dave Gettleman this week when the Washington Redskins cornerback questioned the rival executive's offseason plan.

"I think we need to put him on salary," Norman said on the "The Rich Eisen Show," according to NFL.com's Kevin Patra. "I mean, they need to protect Dave Gettleman at all costs up in New York, for sure. All costs, because he's winning for us, geez Louise."

The veteran defender isn't the first Redskin to sound off on New York's front office. Safety Landon Collins questioned his former club's trade of Odell Beckham Jr., saying the Giants viewed the star wideout as a "problem."

Norman and Gettleman share a history after spending three seasons together with the Carolina Panthers. The Panthers rescinded the franchise tag they had placed on the Pro Bowler in April 2016 after the two parties failed to agree on a long-term contract. Norman signed with Washington two days later.

Gettleman's recent roster decisions have sparked criticism this offseason. Along with shipping Beckham to the Cleveland Browns, the GM also drafted quarterback Daniel Jones No. 6 overall, traded his top pass-rusher Olivier Vernon, and backed Eli Manning as the Giants' 2019 starter.

Selecting Jones left Dwayne Haskins, who many viewed as a superior prospect, available for the Redskins at No. 15.
