Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson was caught off guard when he arrived for organized team activities.

There was no question Jackson would be the man going forward following the trade of Joe Flacco at the start of free agency, but no one told him he wouldn't be operating in the same system as he did in 2018.

"Coming in, I didn't know we would have a totally different offense," Jackson admitted Thursday.

"When I got here, coach was like, 'Yeah, we have a totally new system. You're going to have to go through this and that.' It's been getting to me a little bit."

The Ravens parted ways with offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg following their loss to the Los Angeles Chargers in last season's wild-card round. The offense is now led by Greg Roman.

Jackson categorized the differences as unique and said he "sucked" on his first day of practice, according to Matt Bonesteel of the Washington Post, but explained that he's progressed since.

"It's a process, so we're not exactly clicking on all cylinders yet, but I'm really happy with the progress and where we're going," coach John Harbaugh said, according to Bonesteel.
