Report: NFL likely to review Elliott's Las Vegas incident

The NFL will likely review the Las Vegas incident involving Ezekiel Elliott that resulted in the Dallas Cowboys running back briefly being handcuffed, a pair of league sources told Yahoo Sports' Charles Robinson.

The altercation took place on May 18. A verbal argument at a music festival with a woman identified as his girlfriend led to Elliott getting in a security guard's face and pushing him into a metal gate. Elliott was not arrested or charged.

In 2017, the NFL suspended Elliott for six games after investigating an incident involving his ex-girlfriend. The league is reportedly expected to examine the Las Vegas event to determine whether Elliott violated the terms of the previous suspension guidelines commissioner Roger Goodell laid out.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said last week he doesn't think the incident will have "any consequences for us."

Elliott led the league in rushing last season for the second time in his three-year career.
