Joliot-Curie Supercomputer from Atos Powers Research at GENCI

GENCI in France has inaugurated their new Joliot-Curie supercomputer. Based on the Atos BullSequana architecture, the system is rated at 9.4 petaflops of peak performance. The system boasts 4.5X increase in computing capacity with half the power consumption of its predecessor. "Joliot-Curie has already been tested as part of the Grands Challenges (Great challenges), organized by GENCI at the TGCC, by running major simulations and other applications."
