Report: Flames gauge market for Neal
by Josh Gold-Smith from on (#4H8KG)
The Calgary Flames tested the market for James Neal, Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman wrote in Saturday's edition of "31 Thoughts."
Neal managed only seven goals and 19 points in 63 games with the Flames this past season.
He signed a five-year, $28.75-million deal with Calgary in July 2018 after potting 25 goals with the Vegas Golden Knights.
The 31-year-old's contract carries a cap hit of $5.75 million through 2022-23.
