Bears' Jackson: 'We plan on taking this whole thing'
Chicago Bears safety Eddie Jackson is not short on confidence going into the 2019 season.
Following the Bears' reversal of fortune, going from a 5-11 record in 2017 to 12-4 and the third seed in the NFC playoffs in 2018, Jackson sees grandeur in the team's future.
"Right now we just want to build off everything and let that be the fuel to our fire. We plan on taking this whole thing," Jackson said to Patrick Finley of the Chicago Sun-Times at a celebrity softball game Saturday.
He said the team is motivated by its 16-15 wild-card round loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, which ended on a blocked game-winning field-goal attempt.
"Everything - how short, and how far, we came. From the losing record to the winning record. How short we came, with the first-round playoff game with the field goal," he said.
