The Atlanta Falcons believe they will come to an agreement with star wide receiver Julio Jones on a long-term contract extension before training camp begins July 22, sources told ESPN's Dianna Russini.

Jones showed up for June's mandatory minicamp despite the issues with his contract, and team owner Arthur Blank said earlier in the month that he wanted the wideout, defensive tackle Grady Jarrett, and linebacker Deion Jones "to be Falcons for life."

The Falcons reworked Julio Jones' deal last offseason with the promise that the contract - which has two years and $21 million in total remaining - would be extended this year to push him back to the top of the receiver market.

Cleveland Browns wideout Odell Beckham Jr.'s $18 million per year leads the position, while Jones' annual mark of $14.25 million sits 12th.

The longtime Falcons standout led the NFL with 1,677 yards last season.
