Scientists, Beer, and the Incentives of Government-Funded Research

Higher alcohol taxes, more restrictions, and more government spending to discourage drinking may be good or bad, but looking at just one side of the equation won't tell us which they are. Scientists are prone to di(C)formation professionnelle-they have the tendency to examine an issue only through the point of view of their own profession.
