Washington Redskins running back Adrian Peterson wants the NFL to bring its international series to Asia.

Peterson recently completed a nine-day tour of Japan and China with Red Phoenix Entertainment - a Houston-based agency that connects American athletes and entertainers with global markets - to meet fans, promote the NFL, and learn about local cultures.

Peterson went to Tokyo, Beijing, and Shanghai on the trip. He was given the opportunity to host a youth football clinic with coaches and players from Japan's X-League and visit the Great Wall of China.

The trip gave Peterson the impression that both countries would be ideal locations for an NFL game.

"The fans were extremely welcoming," he said in a press release from Red Phoenix. "Their enthusiasm for football and sports in general made it clear that Japan and China would provide incredible environments to play an
NFL game."

China has been on the NFL's radar for several years, with commissioner Roger Goodell describing the country as a "priority market" during his annual state-of-the-league address in January.
