Miami Dolphins defensive tackle Kendrick Norton was upgraded from critical to stable condition on Friday, a day after his arm was amputated following a serious car crash, a source told Safid Deen of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel.

After colliding with a concrete barrier, Norton's vehicle rolled over onto its roof, according to Deen.

Norton appears to be in good spirits. His agent took to Twitter to share the following exchange that the 22-year-old had with Cleveland Browns tight end and former college teammate at Miami, David Njoku.

Norton was selected by the Panthers in the seventh round of the 2018 draft.

The Dolphins claimed Norton off the Carolina Panthers' practice squad in 2018. He had yet to take a snap in the NFL.
