Would-be rescuer traumatized after mother drowns in Lake Ontario trying to rescue her son

David Rowan dove into the lake's frigid waters in Pickering on Sunday after seeing the 33-year-old woman not moving. She had gone into the lake to retrieve her child, who had floated to far from her shore; he survived.
