Carr buys Vegas house next to Gruden
When the Oakland Raiders finally make their long-awaited move to Sin City, Derek Carr will find it hard to get away from his head coach.
The 28-year-old quarterback has purchased a yet-to-be-completed house in Las Vegas - and his neighbor will be Jon Gruden, according to Vic Tafur of The Athletic.
Speculation the Raiders would look to select a quarterback at the 2019 NFL Draft ran rampant in the early offseason, but Gruden and general manager Mike Mayock ultimately didn't take a passer.
Carr later vowed he'd be the Raiders' quarterback "for a long time."
Despite a disappointing first year of their highly anticipated partnership, it appears Gruden and Carr intend to remain a duo for the foreseeable future.
If HBO's "Hard Knocks" could stick around for an extra year or two to capture them at neighborhood barbecues or arguing over recycling, we'd all appreciate it.
