Luck to miss another week of camp with calf injury

Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck will miss another week of training camp as he deals with a left calf injury.

Luck has been battling the ailment since April. He missed the Colts' OTAs and minicamp, and after being limited in three days of training camp, the 29-year-old told the Colts on Monday that he wanted to sit out until he's back to full health.

"I feel good about where we're at," head coach Frank Reich said, according to ESPN's Mike Wells. "Just ramping it up from last week. That was so productive last week that we feel we're on the right track.

"When (Luck) has his throwing sessions, there is some movement in there and we are progressing in that."

In order to maintain chemistry with the offense, Luck has continued to take snaps in walk-throughs.

The four-time Pro Bowler has already been ruled out of the team's preseason opener against the Buffalo Bills on Aug. 8 and the Week 4 exhibition game.

Jacoby Brissett has been behind center with the first unit in Luck's absence.

Luck said on Tuesday that he "absolutely" expects to be ready for Week 1.
