Free-agent corner Morris Claiborne has been handed a four-game suspension for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy, according to ESPN's Field Yates.

Claiborne started for the New York Jets in 2017 and 2018. He visited the Arizona Cardinals, New York Giants, and Minnesota Vikings this offseason but failed to secure a deal.

The 29-year-old was taken sixth overall by the Dallas Cowboys in the 2012 NFL Draft. He played with the team for five seasons.

He had 57 total tackles, two interceptions, and 14 pass deflections last campaign.
