Report: Chiefs signing Mo Claiborne to 1-year, $3M contract
The Kansas City Chiefs are signing veteran cornerback Mo Claiborne to a one-year contract worth $3 million, a source told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
The value of the contract was initially reported by Rapoport to be $1.5 million.
Claiborne was previously handed a four-game suspension to begin the season for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy.
Claiborne spent the last two years with the New York Jets. He broke into the league as the sixth overall pick of the Dallas Cowboys in 2012.
In 15 contests a season ago, Claiborne registered 57 tackles and two interceptions, returning one of the picks for the first defensive touchdown of his career.
