Nearly nine months after undergoing Lisfranc surgery, Baltimore Ravens first-round rookie Marquise Brown is ramping up his offseason activities in preparation for Week 1.

Though Brown has appeared in four straight practices, including recent joint sessions with the Philadelphia Eagles, the first-year wide receiver must still reach significant milestones before being fully integrated into Baltimore's offense.

"He basically practiced for the first time in a more aggressive setting, so I saw a guy that was practicing for the first time," head coach John Harbaugh told reporters. "He just needs to get accustomed to it. It's all new for him - the speed of it, the thinking, the lining up, running the right route. He's got a ways to go with all of that.

"I'm confident he'll get there, and we'll know what to do to use him, how to use him early in the season. But it's just great work for him."

Offensive coordinator Greg Roman said Sunday that "Hollywood" must work on his chemistry with quarterback Lamar Jackson, as the two failed to consistently connect in the wideout's limited practice time, according to Jonas Shaffer of The Baltimore Sun.

The No. 25 overall pick in April's draft doesn't appear to be at risk of missing the Ravens' season opener against the Miami Dolphins.

Brown injured his foot in December's Big 12 championship game. He's yet to suit up in the preseason.
