Report: MRI confirms Lamar Miller tore ACL
An MRI has confirmed that Houston Texans running back Lamar Miller suffered a torn ACL in Saturday's preseason game against the Dallas Cowboys, meaning he'll be out for the year, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported.
Miller took a hit to his left leg early in Saturday's game. He was carted to the locker room after the play.

The seven-year vet was entering the final year of his contract with the Texans. He's scheduled to make $5.5 million in base salary this year and hit unrestricted free agency in 2020.
Miller has started 41 of 48 games for Houston over the past three seasons.
After Saturday's contest, Texans head coach Bill O'Brien wasn't ready to anoint recently acquired rusher Duke Johnson as the starter in Miller's absence.
"I don't know about that," O'Brien said. "I think it's a package deal, so it's kind of early to talk about that, to nail that down right now, but obviously Duke would be in there. Taiwan (Jones) has had a good camp. I think our backfield situation with depth is actually decent.
"It's very difficult to lose a guy like Lamar for a lot of reasons. He's a great pro."
